I had set myself the challenge of photographing one of these vervet monkeys during my most recent visit to St-Martin (French West Indies). This monkey originally from South Africa has now been living on this Caribbean island since the 1970s. I had to visit the jungle for 4 days in a row in order to have a first encounter with them. My first moment with a primate, immortalized forever!
