This photo had been with me for a long time. Yet, it was captured in a very different context than I had imagined, with much greater challenges. It was during a boat safari, en route to the hippos of Lake Naivasha, that this portrait came to be. In a small 12-foot boat, tossed about by waves of about a foot, each shot became a real feat.
